The study investigated the correlates of risky sexual behaviour among university and college students in sub-Saharan Africa. The results reveal that the incidence of sexual activity and many sexual partners among college and university students was relatively high with males being a risk factor for engaging in at least one hazardous sexual behaviour and having multiple sexual partners. The study concludes that risky sexual behaviour is still prevalent among university and college students. It recommends that educational institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa provide and implement adequate health education and behaviour change programmes aimed at men and those who abuse alcohol.en_US
